Magdalena Křenková, painter, poet, restauratice, illustrator and teacher, born in 1966 as the third of six children in a family of artists, Dačice, a town in southern Bohemia, Czech Republic in the current capital but in the years of his childhood and youth, was part of the now extinct "Czechoslovak Socialist Republic" during the Soviet totalitarian regime and in full "cold war". Magdalena Křenková ,pittrice , poetessa , restauratice , illustratrice ed insegnante ; nasce nel 1966 come terza di sei figli in una famiglia di artisti , a Dačice ,una città della Boemia meridionale ,nell'attuale Repubblica Ceca. Capoluogo che però negli anni della sua infanzia e gioventù, faceva parte dell'ormai estinta "Repubblica Socialista Cecoslovacca " , durante il regime totalitarista Sovietico ed in piena" guerra fredda" . Fattore molto importante questo per poter comprendere alcune sfumature peculiari dell' arte di Magdalena. Seppur il mondo esterno era in quegli anni ostile trascorre la sua infanzia , e cresce nella sua amorevole e particolare famiglia, aperta alle arti. Il precursore fu suo nonno Josef Florian,che fondò una pubblica compagnia " Dobré dílo" e che con le sue iniziative , introdusse il seme dell'arte nel suo nucleo famigliare. Seme che ha dato i suoi frutti. I genitori di Magdalena , Karla Florian, la madre , è un artista e vetrinista e suo padre Jan Florian , fu pittore, scultore e restauratore, scomparso nel 2007. E proprio nello studio di papa Jan che nasce l’amore per l’arte , Ricorda i profumi e gli odori che emanavano il legno di tiglio, le vernici e la trementina. E di come le piaceva guardare al di sopra della spalla di suo padre e voleva conoscere i segreti di quella “magia”. Li iniziò a disegnare ed è lì che negli anni successivi , ha studiato il restauro e la pittura. Ma come dichiara lei stessa in un intervista” l’interesse vero e proprio per il mondo dell’arte , è nato in me a tredici anni quando scrissi le mie prime poesie “. Laureata, ed artista affermata ora vive , con suo marito Jiří Krenek ed i suoi meravigliosi tre figli Vojtěch, Veronika e Michaela, nella casa dove è nato Josef Florian nel piccolo villaggio di Stara.
